HOUSE RULES FOR PLACING ADVERTISEMENTS |
Choose the correct Category and Sub Category for your ad!
Place your ad only in the Main and Sub Category that best fits your ad!
For example, a bicycle is not permitted in the Main Category Cars to offer.
- Erotic ads (18 +) are not allowed!
If you think a Main Category or Sub-Category is missing, please let us know via the Contact form.
It is not allowed to place the same ad more than once in the same Category. It is allowed to post the same ad in different categories, provided that they are relevant sections and you don't place your ad more than 4 times.
Visitors to Sneup.com experience more than once finding the same ad as confusing and annoying. If you have a number of the same products or a product in different sizes or colors to offer, do so preferably in one ad and indicate that there are multiple copies for sale.
The ad-description must meet the following conditions:
- Describe the article brought to you by truthfully and as completely as possible.
- If you have a picture in your ad, make sure it matches the advertised item in the ad.
- It is not allowed in your ad using discriminatory or otherwise offensive text or pictures.
- It is not allowed in your ad using irrelevant keywords (keyword spamming).
As an example, Audi offers, it is not allowed in your ad terms like Mercedes, BMW, Volkswagen and many other car makers to take.
- It is not allowed to place links or references to other advertising sites or auction sites.
Make sure to offer your products or services to meet our rules!
The following products and services are not allowed on Sneup.com, regardless of the validity of these products and services:
- Offensive goods, such as some Nazi memorabilia.
- Forgeries or counterfeit products.
- Products or services that infringe the intellectual property or other rights of any person or entity such as copyrights, trademarks, domain names and portrait rights.
- Drugs and related addictive substances and/or products, for example: Marijuana, Hashish, Ecstasy, Cocaine.
- Medicine and homeopathic remedies that are only available by prescription.
- Spreading hate or discriminatory writings.
- Fireworks.
- Personal tickets for concerts, sports and other events.
- E-mail files.
- Cigarettes, cigars and other tobacco products. Sneup.com reserves the right to make exceptions to this rule for objects which we believe will obviously only be seen as a collectors item.
- Strong alcoholic beverages (alcohol content> 15%). Sneup.com reserves the right to make exceptions to this rule for items that we think obviously only as collector's item can be seen.
- Ammunition, (fire) arms and related products. Also self-defense weapons, air and gas pistols, and (possibly under Dutch law) Tampering weapons are not allowed. Sneup.com reserves the right to make exceptions to this rule for objects which we believe will obviously only be seen as a collectors item.
- It is not allowed protected (native and exotic) species and products from protected animals or plants to offer or request. Once you have doubts, buy no animals or animal products!
- It is not allowed ivory or ivory products to offer, unless they are made for June 1, 1947 (these are regarded as antiques). The seller in that case explicitly in the advertisement to indicate whether a product relates to 1947 or else in possession of relevant CITES certificates. Raw ivory (like smooth ivory tusks and rhino horn from a) is totally prohibited.
- Providing the opportunity to participate in risk-and pyramid schemes. This also applies to so-called 'fast money' ads, including MLM.
- Pornographic images (photographs showing sexual organs are), this erotic articles and related products and services.
- References to 090x numbers or SMS services, the Category Contacts exception.
- Providers of loans, mortgages or other forms of financing that do not comply with the Act on Financial Supervision. To advise, mediate and selling financial products is often a license from the Financial Markets Authority (AFM) is required. Check the website of the AFM or the provider that you want to do business a license or a prospectus approved by the AFM. You can also check here or the provider on the warning list.
For education, information and reporting of any wrongdoing on providers of financial products, you can contact the AFM. This may in the Financial Markets using the contact form or telephone 0900 - 5400 540 (EUR 0.05 per minute).
- (Digital) odometer corrections.
- Copies of software.
- Offering the conversion of video game consoles (Wii, Playstation) and other devices that are primarily designed to circumvent copyright protection. R4 Flash Card for example.
- Blank DVDs and / or CDs without the advertising that appears above the statutory fee is paid.
- All other products and services that are prohibited by International Law.

All above rules also apply to advertising in the Contacts Section.
Following in this Section apply the following rules:
- For advertisements with 090x numbers it is mandatory to mention the price!
- Ads with SMS services must meet the following conditions:
- Mention of the rate per (received) message!
- Indicate whether a single message or for a subscription.
- A subscription to the frequency of the messages and also mentioned how they can deregister.
Sneup.com always reserves the right to remove ads without giving reasons if they do not comply with the above rules.
Failure to comply with the above rules may result in your account being suspended or permanently removed.
After removal of an advertisement and/or account Sneup.com in any case will not proceed to any refund of payments already paid.
